Ahsan Iqbal Says Decision To Bring No-Trust Motion Against AJK PM Sign Of ‘Democratic Maturity
Ahsan Iqbal said that the decision to bring a no-trust motion against the Sardar Tanveer Ilyas-led government in Azad Jammu & Kashmir is a sign of “democratic maturity”. He praised the move by opposition lawmakers as part of a robust parliamentary process that allows leadership challenges through constitutional mechanisms. Iqbal, speaking on behalf of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), emphasised that such democratic practices strengthen institutions and political accountability. The motion, if successful, could lead to a change in the AJK government without extra-constitutional measures.
