Iran FM Thanks Pakistan For ‘Strong Support’ At UN Human Rights Council
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its “strong support” and principled stance at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva. Araghchi, in a telephone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, thanked Islamabad for calling for a vote and voting against the resolution concerning Iran, describing Pakistan’s position as historic and unwavering. The Iranian minister also conveyed appreciation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan for their backing. Tehran and Islamabad also exchanged views on regional and international developments during the call.
