PCB charges Fakhar Zaman with ball-tampering in PSL match

The Pakistan Cricket Board has charged Fakhar Zaman with ball-tampering during a Pakistan Super League match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. The incident reportedly took place in the final over, prompting on-field umpires to inspect the ball and take immediate action.

Officials awarded a five-run penalty to Karachi Kings and ordered the ball to be replaced after noticing irregularities. The decision proved crucial, as Karachi went on to win the match by four wickets with just a few balls remaining.

Fakhar Zaman has denied the allegations during an initial disciplinary hearing conducted by match referee Roshan Mahanama. The PCB said a final verdict will be announced after a follow-up hearing within 48 hours, with the player potentially facing a one or two-match ban if found guilty.
