He expressed hope that the new year would become a year of national unity, renewal of hope, and strengthened social harmony.
The Federal Minister reaffirmed that, “Insha’Allah, the coming year will be a year of strengthened public service, expanded welfare initiatives, and a more robust social protection system for the vulnerable and deserving communities across the country.” He noted that over the past year, the Ministry and its affiliated organizations continued to play an effective and sustained role in serving marginalized segments of society.
Syed Imran Ahmed Shah acknowledged the contributions of PPAF, TVO, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, and BISP, stating that these institutions played a significant role in extending welfare and support services to deserving beneficiaries. He especially appreciated that TVO demonstrated outstanding performance in the timely completion of social and development projects.
The Federal Minister announced that during the coming year, he will undertake review visits across all provinces and regions — including Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — to assess the facilities and services being provided under the Ministry’s organizations. These visits will focus on ground-level evaluations, service-delivery improvement, and beneficiary-centric monitoring.
He further stated that issues faced by deserving beneficiaries in hospitals and universities will be addressed on a priority basis, while field-based monitoring and service-quality review mechanisms will be further strengthened.
The Federal Minister commended Shahneen Khalid Butt, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, for his effective administrative leadership, noting that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal continues to advance public-welfare initiatives in an impactful manner. He also appreciated the leadership of BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid and Secretary Aamir Ahmed Ali, stating that BISP programmes are being implemented with discipline, transparency, and institutional efficiency.
Highlighting key reforms, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah stated that BISP’s initiative to transition beneficiary payments to digital wallets is a major reform measure aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, enabling secure, transparent, and dignified financial assistance for beneficiaries. He further added that BISP’s Ramadan Package Drive was a commendable and impactful initiative through which timely relief was extended to millions of deserving families across the country.
Concluding his message, the Federal Minister reaffirmed that in the coming year, all public-welfare initiatives under the Ministry will continue with transparency, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to service and social responsibility.
