Iran Says The EU’s Silence on U.S.–Israeli Attacks Makes It Complicit
Iran slams European Union’s ‘indifference’ to US-Israeli attacks, says it amounts to ‘complicity’
Iran has strongly criticized the European Union for what it described as “indifference” to recent US and Israeli military attacks, saying the bloc’s silence effectively amounts to complicity. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei accused European leaders of failing to condemn the strikes and of indirectly enabling aggression against the Iranian people.
Baghaei also criticized comments by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, calling them hypocritical and questioning why the EU had not spoken out against attacks on Iranian civilian sites, including hospitals and residential areas. He said silence in the face of such actions “is nothing less than complicity in lawlessness and atrocity.”
The remarks come as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East following US and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets and Tehran’s retaliatory actions across the region, raising concerns about a wider regional conflict and its global repercussions
