PM Shehbaz condemns drone, missile attacks in UAE

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the recent drone and missile attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, expressing full solidarity with the Emirati leadership and people.

In an official statement, the prime minister said Pakistan “strongly condemns” the attacks and stands firmly with the UAE during this difficult time. He conveyed support to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reaffirming close bilateral ties between the two countries.

Sharif emphasized the urgent need to uphold the fragile ceasefire in the region, warning that continued escalation could undermine diplomatic efforts. He stressed that respecting the ceasefire is essential to create space for dialogue and ensure long-term peace and stability.

The condemnation comes after the UAE reported missile and drone strikes that targeted key infrastructure, including an energy facility in Fujairah, with injuries reported.

Pakistan’s stance aligns with broader international reactions, as multiple global leaders have called for restraint and renewed diplomacy to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.

Analysts say the statement highlights Pakistan’s continued support for Gulf allies while also reinforcing its broader diplomatic position of de-escalation and conflict resolution in the region.
