PMD Predicts Heatwave During Eid Holidays From May 25 To 31
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot weather conditions and a possible heatwave across several parts of the country during the Eidul Azha holidays from May 25 to 31.
According to weather officials, temperatures are expected to remain significantly above normal in various regions, with southern and central areas likely to experience intense heat during the daytime.
The PMD has advised citizens to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak hours, and stay hydrated amid the expected rise in temperatures.
Authorities also warned that prolonged heatwave conditions could affect travel, livestock management, and outdoor Eid activities during the holiday period.
Analysts say the forecast may lead to increased electricity demand and place additional pressure on public health and utility services during the festive week.
