France Condemns Prolonged Israeli Presence In Lebanon

France has stated that nothing can justify the continued Israeli occupation of territory in Lebanon, calling for full respect of international law and existing agreements aimed at maintaining stability along the border.

French officials emphasized the need for all parties to uphold ceasefire commitments and avoid actions that could further escalate tensions in the region.

The remarks come amid ongoing concerns over security developments in southern Lebanon, where cross-border hostilities and military operations have fueled fears of a wider conflict.

Paris reiterated its support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, stressing that long-term peace can only be achieved through diplomatic efforts and adherence to international resolutions.

France also urged regional and international stakeholders to intensify efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preventing further instability in the Middle East.

Analysts say the statement reflects growing international concern over the situation in Lebanon, as diplomatic pressure mounts for a lasting resolution to regional disputes.
