Nawaz Expresses Concern Over Lack Of Development In GB

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif has expressed concern over the lack of development in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), saying his heart aches when he sees the region deprived of the progress it deserves.

Addressing a public gathering ahead of the upcoming elections, Nawaz Sharif highlighted the importance of accelerating development projects and improving infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for local residents.

He stated that Gilgit-Baltistan possesses immense potential in tourism, trade, and natural resources, adding that sustained investment is necessary to unlock economic opportunities for the region.

The former prime minister also reiterated his party’s commitment to development-focused policies, promising efforts to improve roads, education, healthcare, and public services if elected representatives are given the opportunity to serve.

Political leaders continue to intensify their campaigns across Gilgit-Baltistan as parties seek public support ahead of the polls, with development and governance remaining key issues for voters.

Analysts say infrastructure growth and economic development are expected to play a central role in the election debate, influencing voter sentiment across the region.
