Trump Says Iran, Israel Seeking Immediate Ceasefire

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran and Israel are looking to establish an immediate ceasefire, expressing optimism that ongoing peace negotiations could produce a breakthrough in the near future.

In a statement posted on social media, Trump indicated that final-stage discussions are underway and suggested that both sides are showing interest in de-escalating the conflict despite recent military exchanges.

The remarks come after renewed missile and airstrike incidents heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, raising concerns about the possibility of a wider regional confrontation.

Trump also urged both countries to halt further military actions and give diplomacy an opportunity to succeed, stressing the importance of preventing additional instability in the Middle East.

While no official confirmation of a ceasefire agreement has yet emerged from either Tehran or Tel Aviv, diplomatic efforts involving regional and international mediators are reportedly continuing.

Analysts say the coming days could be crucial for regional peace, with negotiations expected to determine whether both sides can move from military confrontation toward a more lasting settlement.
