Tehran Says Israeli Strikes Were Coordinated With US
Iran has claimed that recent Israeli strikes on its territory were fully coordinated with the United States, accusing Washington of direct involvement in the latest escalation despite US denials of participation.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said Tehran believes Israel would not carry out such operations without prior coordination and cooperation with the United States, warning that responsibility for any further escalation would also fall on Washington.
The remarks came after Israel and Iran exchanged attacks for the first time since a fragile ceasefire took effect in April, raising fresh concerns about regional stability and the future of ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Meanwhile, US officials have maintained that American forces were not involved in the latest Israeli strikes, although Tehran has continued to question Washington’s role in the conflict.
The latest developments have added uncertainty to diplomatic negotiations aimed at reducing tensions, with Iranian officials warning that recent events could further complicate efforts to restore trust between the parties.
Analysts say the renewed exchange of accusations and military actions risks undermining ceasefire efforts and could increase instability across the Middle East if diplomatic channels fail to produce progress.
