Trump Labels Iran Deal Critics ‘Jealous, Bad People, Or Stupid’
US President Donald Trump has lashed out at critics of the recently signed US-Iran agreement, describing those who oppose the deal as “jealous, bad people, or stupid.”
In a post on social media, Trump defended the agreement by pointing to record highs in US stock markets and declining oil prices, arguing that the deal has already delivered positive economic results.
The US president said the accord would help restore stability in the Middle East while preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, insisting that the agreement is stronger than previous arrangements negotiated by earlier administrations.
Trump’s remarks come amid growing criticism from some Republican lawmakers and foreign policy analysts, who have raised concerns about the scope of sanctions relief and other concessions reportedly included in the memorandum of understanding with Tehran.
Despite the criticism, the White House has maintained that the agreement establishes a framework for long-term peace and includes mechanisms to monitor compliance and prevent future escalation.
Analysts say the political debate surrounding the deal is likely to intensify as details of its implementation emerge and negotiations move into the next phase.
