Pakistan’s Economy Stabilising, Moving Towards Growth: PM Shehbaz
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan’s economy has achieved stability and is now moving towards growth, highlighting progress under ongoing economic reforms.
The prime minister said reforms in areas including digitisation, revenue collection, privatisation and fiscal management are supporting the country’s economic recovery.
He also pointed to improvements in external buffers, investor confidence and fiscal discipline as important developments supporting the transition from stabilisation towards sustainable growth.
Recent data from the Asian Development Bank also showed Pakistan’s economy grew by 3.7% in FY2026, while continued reforms and stronger external buffers are expected to support further growth.
The government says maintaining reform momentum and strengthening investment will remain important for achieving sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
