Trump to Conclude Xi Summit With Tour of US National Archives

US President Donald Trump is set to conclude Chinese President Xi Jinping’s US state visit with a tour of the National Archives in Washington.

The two leaders are expected to view historic American documents, including the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights, along with materials highlighting the history of US-China relations.

The visit follows a White House summit focused on trade and artificial intelligence, while major differences including Taiwan remained part of the broader discussions.

The National Archives tour will serve as the final major event of Xi’s visit to Washington, combining diplomatic engagement with a symbolic look at the historical ties between the two countries.

The visit comes as Washington and Beijing continue efforts to manage differences and maintain dialogue on economic and strategic issues.
