Security Forces Eliminate 3 Terrorists in DI Khan IBO

Security forces killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking another counterterrorism success in the region.

According to security sources, the operation was conducted after intelligence information indicated the presence of terrorists in the area. The militants were identified as belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij, a term used by the state for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

The operation comes amid continued intelligence-based actions against militant networks across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework. Security sources said such operations are helping weaken terrorist networks and disrupt their activities.

The successful operation reflects the ongoing efforts of security forces to counter terrorism and maintain security in the province. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to eliminating militant threats and restoring lasting peace.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for the operation, with the prime minister reiterating the state’s resolve to eliminate Fitna al-Khawarij.
