She League Kicks Off in Style with Goals Galore and Thrilling Encounters

Islamabad (Sports Desk): The inaugural She League was launched in a colourful ceremony at the newly constructed futsal grounds of Jinnah Stadium. Kicking off on Saturday evening amid enthusiastic applause from spectators, the league marks the revival of domestic women’s football competitions in the country.

According to details, the league is being played in a five-a-side format across two categories: Under-23 and Under-14 Juniors. The initiative aims to nurture young talent for next year’s FIFA Under-15 Girls’ World Cup and Festival.

Four matches were played on the opening day. In the junior category, Midfield FC edged past Vibrant FC 5-4, while Strikers secured an emphatic 8-1 victory over Blue Jays.

In the senior category, Football Factory defeated Hunza City 4-3 in a closely contested encounter, while Islamabad City delivered a dominant performance to thrash Strikers 10-3.
