Islamabad: Pakistan’s renowned para-athlete Haider Ali will represent the country at the Asian Para Games 2026. A 16-member Pakistani contingent will participate in the mega event.

The Asian Para Games 2026 will be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from October 18 to 24, featuring athletes from 45 countries competing in 18 sports.

Haider Ali is the most successful athlete in Pakistan’s para-sports history. He is the country’s only Paralympic medallist to have won four Paralympic medals: silver at Beijing 2008, bronze at Rio 2016, gold at Tokyo 2020 — Pakistan’s first-ever Paralympic gold medal — and bronze at Paris 2024.

To date, Haider Ali has won six medals at the Asian Para Games, including four gold and two bronze medals.
