Pakistan Seeks Singapore Help on US-Seized Vessels

Pakistan Seeks Singapore Support In Repatriation Of Nationals And Iranians Aboard US-Seized Vessels

Pakistan has sought Singapore’s support in the repatriation of its nationals as well as Iranian citizens reportedly detained aboard vessels seized by the United States, amid growing diplomatic efforts over the maritime incident.

According to reports, the ships were intercepted in international waters, leading to the detention of crew members from multiple nationalities. Islamabad has since initiated diplomatic contacts to ensure the safe return of its citizens and is also raising concerns over the status of Iranian nationals on board.

Pakistan’s foreign ministry is working closely with relevant international partners, urging a swift resolution and humanitarian handling of those detained. Officials say the priority remains the safe repatriation of affected individuals and clarification of legal proceedings surrounding the seizure.

Singapore has been approached due to its strategic maritime position and role in global shipping logistics, with Pakistan seeking assistance in facilitating coordination among involved parties.

Analysts say the case adds another layer of tension in already strained regional maritime dynamics, where security incidents involving commercial shipping continue to draw international attention.
