LHC Accepts Maryam’s Plea For Return Of Bail Surety In Chaudhry Sugar Mills Case
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has accepted a plea filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz seeking the return of her bail surety in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The court approved the request after hearing arguments related to the completion of legal requirements tied to the bail bonds submitted during earlier proceedings in the case.
Maryam Nawaz had obtained bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills reference during investigations involving allegations of money laundering and financial irregularities. The latest development marks another legal relief for the senior PML-N leader.
Legal experts say the return of bail surety generally indicates that the court no longer requires financial guarantees linked to the bail arrangement in the matter.
Analysts note that the case has remained politically significant due to its connection with prominent opposition figures and past accountability proceedings in Pakistan.
