US Secretary Of State Says There’s Been ‘A Little Bit Of Movement’ In Iran Talks
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said there has been “a little bit of movement” in ongoing negotiations involving Iran, signaling slight progress amid continued regional tensions and diplomatic uncertainty.
Speaking during a press conference at a NATO meeting in Sweden, Rubio said discussions had shown “some slight progress,” though he cautioned against overstating developments at this stage.
The US official reiterated Washington’s position that Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, adding that issues related to uranium enrichment and Tehran’s stockpile remain central to negotiations.
Rubio’s remarks come as diplomatic efforts continue alongside growing tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and regional security concerns in the Middle East.
Analysts say the latest comments suggest cautious diplomatic momentum, although major disagreements between Tehran and Washington continue to complicate prospects for a broader agreement.
