Pezeshkian Calls For End To ‘Neither War Nor Peace’ Situation
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran must move beyond the current state of “neither war nor peace,” stressing the need to resolve ongoing tensions through dialogue while safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.
Speaking at an event in Tehran, Pezeshkian stated that war is not in Iran’s national interest, but emphasized that the country would not surrender to military pressure or external threats.
The Iranian president noted that prolonged uncertainty has created significant challenges for the country and called for national unity to help overcome political, economic, and security difficulties.
Pezeshkian also highlighted the importance of continued negotiations and diplomatic engagement, saying Iran must find a path that protects its interests while avoiding further regional instability.
His remarks come amid ongoing efforts to revive talks with the United States and maintain fragile ceasefire arrangements following months of heightened tensions across the Middle East.
Analysts say the comments reflect Tehran’s desire to reduce uncertainty and pursue a more stable diplomatic framework, even as significant challenges remain in regional peace efforts.
