PMD Forecasts Dust Storms, Thunderstorms Across Country From June 11–13

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dust storms, windstorms, and thunderstorms across most parts of the country from June 11 to June 13, as a new weather system is expected to affect several regions.

According to meteorological officials, strong winds and scattered thunderstorms are likely in multiple areas, with some regions expected to experience reduced visibility due to dust activity.

The PMD stated that the changing weather pattern may bring temporary relief from the ongoing hot and dry conditions in many parts of the country.

Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures, particularly during strong wind events, as the conditions may pose risks to weak structures, trees, and power lines.

Farmers and travelers have also been urged to stay updated on weather alerts, as dust storms and thunderstorms could impact outdoor activities and transport schedules.

Analysts say the short spell of unstable weather is part of seasonal transitions, which often bring sudden changes in temperature and atmospheric conditions across the region.
