Pakistan Vows to Implement Saudi Defence Pact, Makkah Agreement

Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement with Saudi Arabia and the trilateral Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan remains committed to the agreements in both intent and spirit, amid renewed regional tensions and recent attacks involving Saudi Arabia.

The Makkah Agreement, signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, provides for strengthened defence cooperation and treats an armed attack on one member as an attack on all three.

Pakistan’s latest position underscores its stated commitment to collective security while maintaining that operational details require confidentiality.

The Foreign Office reiterated that Pakistan supports peaceful resolution of regional disputes and continued efforts toward stability and security.
