Saudi Strikes Kill 2 Civilians in Northwest Yemen, Houthis Say

Yemen’s Houthi movement says Saudi airstrikes in the northwest of the country killed two civilians, including a woman and a child, amid escalating fighting between the two sides.

According to Houthi-run health authorities, the strikes hit the Al-Batin area of Al-Hazm in Al-Jawf province. The group said two other members of the same family were also wounded.

The reported strikes come as Saudi Arabia and the Houthis have exchanged attacks in recent weeks, with the conflict intensifying across several parts of Yemen.

The latest reported casualties add to concerns over the humanitarian impact of the renewed fighting, while tensions also remain high around Yemen’s strategic Red Sea coastline and nearby shipping routes.

The reported civilian deaths have not been independently verified, and Saudi authorities have not immediately confirmed the Houthi account.
