Pakistan Preparing for Possible India Clash, Hesson Says

Pakistan are preparing for a possible meeting with India at the Asian Games, with head coach Mike Hesson saying the team is focused on progressing through the tournament.

Pakistan and India are placed on opposite sides of the men’s draw, meaning a meeting could come in the gold-medal match or bronze-medal play-off if both teams advance through the earlier stages.

Hesson said Pakistan must concentrate on the matches ahead rather than look too far forward, while the Asian Games squad also provides an opportunity to assess younger and new players.

Pakistan will enter the men’s cricket competition at the quarter-final stage, with their campaign scheduled to begin later in the tournament.

The potential India clash adds further interest to Pakistan’s Asian Games campaign as the team aims to make progress through the competition.
