UK Warns Iran Against Hostile Activity on British Soil
Britain has warned Iran that it will not tolerate intimidation, threats or hostile activity on British soil from groups linked to Tehran.
British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband delivered the warning during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The discussions included concerns over threats linked to Iranian groups, as Britain reiterated its commitment to protecting people and communities in the UK.
The warning adds to existing tensions between Britain and Iran and comes as the UK continues measures aimed at addressing Iranian state-linked threats.
The meeting highlights continued diplomatic engagement between the two countries alongside Britain’s stated security concerns over activities linked to Iran.
