4 Pakistani Sailors Rescued From Somali Pirates to Arrive in Karachi
Four Pakistani sailors rescued after being held by Somali pirates are set to return to Karachi, bringing relief to their families after months of captivity.
The sailors were among the Pakistani crew members aboard the hijacked MT Honour 25 oil tanker, which was recovered by Puntland security forces after being held by pirates since April.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office and its embassy in Djibouti have been working to facilitate the recovery and repatriation of the surviving Pakistani crew members following the rescue operation.
The return of the four sailors marks an important development for their families, who had spent months seeking the safe release of their loved ones.
The case has drawn continued attention to maritime security and the risks faced by seafarers operating in waters affected by piracy.
