Yemen Conducts 20 Airstrikes Against Houthi Targets in Taiz

Yemen’s internationally recognized government says its air force carried out 20 airstrikes against Houthi targets in Taiz province, marking a further escalation in the country’s conflict.

The strikes were conducted over a three-hour period and targeted reported Houthi movements, reinforcements, personnel, vehicles and military equipment across several areas of Taiz.

Yemeni military officials said the attacks achieved direct hits and caused losses among Houthi fighters and military equipment. These claims have not been independently verified, and the Houthis had not immediately commented.

The latest strikes come amid renewed fighting between government forces and the Houthis, with Taiz remaining a key area of military activity in Yemen.

The escalation adds to wider security concerns in Yemen and the surrounding region as fighting between the opposing sides continues.
