Sri Lanka have announced their 16-member squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series in Pakistan, with Kusal Mendis named captain as the team prepares for an important phase ahead of the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

The squad includes experienced players such as Pathum Nissanka, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana and Dushmantha Chameera, alongside emerging white-ball talent. Nissanka’s participation remains subject to medical clearance.

Sri Lanka will compete against hosts Pakistan and England in the tri-series, which is scheduled to begin on October 18. The matches will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore, with the final scheduled for October 31.

The tournament will provide Sri Lanka with valuable ODI preparation as the team builds its combination for the 2027 World Cup. The squad features a balance of batting options, all-rounders, spin and pace resources.

Kusal Mendis will lead the side as Sri Lanka look to make the most of the Pakistan tour and strengthen their preparations for the upcoming global event.
