PFF Under-17 Championship: All Four Provinces in Title Race as Semi-Final Lineup Confirmed

Islamabad: The PFF National Under-17 Championship 2026 has entered its decisive stage, with the group phase concluding at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad. Four teams representing all four provinces have secured their places in the semi-finals.

Sindh Indus, Punjab Harappa, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himalayas and Balochistan Hingol will now compete for a place in the championship final, ensuring representation from all four provinces in the semi-final stage.

The final day of the group stage featured two contrasting encounters.

The first match of the day between Sindh Mehran and GB Karakoram was a closely contested affair, with GB Karakoram securing a 1-0 victory. Nawazis scored the only goal of the match in the 64th minute, allowing GB Karakoram to finish their campaign with three points.

The second match between Balochistan Hingol and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himalayas ended in a goalless draw after another closely fought contest.

Both teams had remained unbeaten heading into their final group match, but neither side managed to find the decisive breakthrough. Both defensive units put in strong performances until the final whistle.

Following the result, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himalayas finished top of Group C with seven points, while Balochistan Hingol also collected seven points and finished second on goal difference. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa scored 13 goals without conceding any, while Balochistan scored nine goals and conceded just two.

With the conclusion of the group stage, the semi-final lineup has also been confirmed.

Sindh Indus will face Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himalayas on October 8 at 3:00 PM, while Punjab Harappa will take on Balochistan Hingol at 7:00 PM. Both semi-finals will be played at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad.

Sindh Indus advanced to the knockout stage after finishing top of Group A, while Punjab Harappa secured first place in Group B.

There will be a one-day break before the semi-finals, with the two winners set to meet in the championship final on October 10 at 7:00 PM.

After six days of group-stage action, only four teams remain in the race for the title.
