KP Updates Welfare Scheme for Police Officers, Martyrs’ Families

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has updated its welfare scheme for police officers and the families of police martyrs, aiming to strengthen support for personnel serving in the province and families affected by their sacrifice.

The revised scheme focuses on welfare assistance for police employees and the families of officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The changes are intended to improve the support available to eligible beneficiaries.

Under the revised package, compensation for police personnel martyred in the line of duty has been increased, with payments varying according to rank. The scheme also replaces residential plots with cash assistance for eligible families and increases support for injured and permanently disabled officers.

The package includes financial assistance for the marriages of martyrs’ daughters and educational support for their children. The measures are intended to provide families with greater financial security and recognise the sacrifices made by police personnel in maintaining law and order.
