Pakistan Providing ‘Whatever Support’ Saudi Arabia Needs for Its Defence: DG ISPR

Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s security, with the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) stating that Islamabad is ready to provide whatever support Riyadh requires for its defence. The statement highlights the longstanding strategic partnership between the two countries.

The assurance reflects close defence and security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, built on decades of diplomatic engagement, military collaboration and shared regional interests.
DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry made the remarks during an interview with Independent Arabia, citing Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and the security of the Two Holy Mosques as non-negotiable priorities for Pakistan.

He also described the Makkah Joint Defence Alliance, involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, as purely defensive. The arrangement is intended to strengthen collective deterrence and respond to threats against member countries.

The statement comes amid reported Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and broader regional tensions. Pakistan has also emphasized diplomatic engagement and restraint to prevent further escalation.
