Pakistan Faces Double Defeat on Same Day in FIFA U-15 World Cup

In the ongoing FIFA U-15 World Cup & Festival 2026 held in Azerbaijan, Pakistan’s U-15 team suffered back-to-back defeats against South Sudan and Cyprus on the same day.

In their match against South Sudan, Pakistan fell to a 1–0 defeat. The opposing side took the lead in the first half; however, the Shaheens delivered an improved performance in the second half, mounting several attacks but failing to convert them into goals. One goal by South Sudan was also ruled out for offside.

In the second match of the day, Pakistan faced a 4–0 defeat at the hands of Cyprus. Cyprus scored twice off free kicks, added a third through a moment of individual brilliance, and converted a penalty for their fourth goal.

According to the Federation, both matches served as valuable international exposure for the young players, though the team still needs to work on defending set pieces and overall defensive organization.
